A crash combined with a Brisbane public holiday has resulted in bumper-to-bumper traffic heading south on the M1 this morning.
There is heavy congestion on the M1 from Helensvale to Yatala.
The single vehicle crash at 9.40am in the fourth lane of the M1 at Helensvale has caused a lot of the congestion with the people heading south for their Ekka public holiday.
Queensland Police said there was one woman treated at the scene however there were no bad injuries.
A tow truck is about to remove the car from the highway, police sources said.
