Investigations are continuing into the deaths of two people in a Southport unit tonight.
Gold Coast police set up a crime scene and were gathering evidence at the Johnston St address after they were alerted to the incident just before 5pm.
The bodies of a man and woman were reportedly found in the unit behind cafe The Roost @ 53. The surrounding area was taped off and under police guard.
Earlier this evening a woman left the unit accompanied by officers and was driven off in a police vehicle.
Gold Coast District Duty Officer Senior Sergeant Marc Kimber said forensic police were working to identify cause of death.
