The event featured competitions across multiple categories, with winners being felicitated for their talent and commitment. The Consul General praised participants for their dedication to learning Hindi, and extended appreciation to teachers and Victorian schools for their role in promoting the language in Australia.
A special highlight of the evening was the felicitation of former Australian National University Professor Peter Friedlander, honoured for his longstanding contribution to the promotion of Hindi in Australia.
