India’s Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary recently visited TAFE Queensland to explore opportunities for deeper cooperation in vocational education and training.
He held detailed discussions with Peter McKay, Director-General of the Department of Trade, Employment and Training, and John Tucker, CEO of TAFE Queensland. The talks focused on how both countries can collaborate to enhance skill recognition, curriculum design, and industry-linked training programs.
Chaudhary also toured the Eagle Farm TAFE campus, where he was shown the institution’s state-of-the-art laboratories and training facilities. He was briefed on the modern courses and innovative teaching methods that have helped TAFE Queensland become a benchmark in vocational training.
The visit highlighted the shared commitment of India and Australia to skilling their workforces and building future-ready talent for global markets.
