India’s Consul General in Perth attended a reception marking the 250th anniversary of the United States’ Independence Day, hosted by US Consul General Colleen Altstock.
According to the Consulate General of India in Perth, the event brought together diplomats, government representatives and members of the wider community to commemorate the historic occasion and celebrate the longstanding partnership between the United States and its friends and allies.
The reception provided an opportunity for members of the diplomatic corps to engage with one another and reaffirm their commitment to strengthening international cooperation and bilateral ties.
The Consulate General of India shared details of the event on its official social media platforms, noting the Consul General’s participation in the celebrations. The post was also shared with the High Commission of India in Canberra and the Consulates General of India in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, reflecting the coordinated engagement of India’s diplomatic missions across Australia.
The event was part of nationwide celebrations recognising America250, which commemorates the 250th anniversary of the adoption of the United States Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.
