A pilot has had to make a terrifying emergency landing at a Brisbane airport after problems with his landing gear.
It was a nervous wait for onlookers at https://s.yimg.com/dh/ap/default/161125/Plane_art2_thumb.png as the pilot was forced to circle the area to burn off fuel.
Eventually he landed safely about 10.50am, despite one of three wheels clearly missing from the plane.
The aircraft tilted to one side and trawled through dust as it slowed to a halt, as emergency crews rushed to the scene.
The successful touchdown was met with cheers from onlookers standing nearby.
“The pilot did a great job considering,” a Queensland Police spokeswoman said.
The plane was hosed down as the relieved pilot was seen shaking hands with firefighters.
