The upcoming Melbourne Tamil Market is set to provide a platform for Tamil businesses and community engagement, with a two-day event scheduled to take place in Dandenong later this month.
Organised by the Australian Tamil Chamber of Commerce, Victoria, the market will be held at the Victoria Tamil Community Centre on April 24 and 25, with free entry for the public. The opening ceremony is planned for the evening of April 24.
The event will feature a wide variety of stalls offering products such as sarees, ethnic and casual wear, jewellery, skincare items, and wellness products, showcasing the diversity of Tamil and multicultural enterprises.
A range of food options will also be available, including South Indian cuisine, biryani, dosa, pani puri, Malaysian street food, and other traditional and contemporary dishes.
Visitors will have the opportunity to engage in cultural activities such as henna and face painting, while also exploring services related to finance, real estate, education, and technology.
Organisers stated that the market aims to highlight Tamil entrepreneurship while fostering community connections through a shared celebration of culture, business, and food.
