Perth, June 23 (Australia India News Newsdesk): Isha Foundation Perth partnered with the Consulate General of India, the Indian Society of Western Australia, Perth Children’s Hospital, the Bahá’í Community, the WA Tegaru Youth Association, universities, schools and corporate organisations to celebrate International Day of Yoga 2026 through a series of community outreach programmes.
The collaborative initiative aimed to make yogic practices accessible to people from diverse backgrounds and age groups across Western Australia. The month-long campaign promoted physical well-being, mental wellness and holistic living through yoga sessions conducted at educational institutions, workplaces and community venues.
According to organisers, the initiative recorded more than 614 Foundation and Yogaveera registrations, 254 institutional collaboration registrations, and reached over 850 participants across the community during June.
Isha Foundation expressed gratitude to its partner organisations, volunteers and participants for helping make the programme a success. Organisers said the strong response had created momentum for additional collaborative wellness programmes and yoga initiatives planned throughout July, reinforcing the growing interest in yoga and holistic health across the community.
