Sydney, June 25 (Australia India News Newsdesk): The Consulate General of India in Sydney organised a roundtable discussion on June 23 with the visiting CII Industry Academia Global Partnership Delegation to Australia, bringing together representatives from leading Indian academic institutions and industry to strengthen collaboration with Australia.
The 22-member delegation included representatives from premier institutions such as IISc Bengaluru, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT BHU, BITS Pilani, ICFAI, BML Munjal University, MAHE Manipal and JIS University, along with industry leaders from Wipro, KONE Elevators, Q&Q Solutions and Kenverse.
Discussions focused on expanding India–Australia cooperation in academia and industry by promoting joint research, technology transfer, innovation partnerships and the commercialisation of research outcomes. Participants also explored opportunities to build stronger links between universities and businesses to support innovation-led economic growth.
The roundtable highlighted the growing importance of India–Australia collaboration in higher education, research and advanced technologies, while reinforcing the shared commitment of both countries to deepen partnerships between academia and industry for mutual benefit.
