New Delhi, July 8 (IANS) BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Wednesday expressed satisfaction over the success of the Digital Training Campaign conducted under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Training Maha Abhiyan in New Delhi, describing it as a significant milestone in digitally empowering the party’s booth-level ‘karyakartas’ (workers) across the country.

BJP Rajya Sabha member Chugh said that a total of 11,01,618 karyakartas from across India have joined the SARAL app-based Digital Learning Platform (DLP), which provides study material in 12 languages along with instructional videos, quizzes and digital certificates for participants.

According to an official statement, “Training covered an introduction to BJP, party history, the Panch Nishtha, teachings of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, Modi government welfare schemes, the NaMo App, Mann Ki Baat, and the party’s major organisational programmes.”

The BJP National General Secretary also noted that the Digital Learning Platform was formally launched on April 6, the BJP’s Foundation Day, by BJP National President Nitin Nabin, National Organisation General Secretary B.L. Santosh and National Co-Organisation General Secretary Shiv Prakash.

He said the campaign was driven forward by the training team under the guidance of Shiv Prakash in coordination with district and mandal-level organisational structures.

A target of enrolling 10 lakh karyakartas was set for the period between June 23, observed as the martyrdom day of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee, and July 6, his birth anniversary.

According to Chugh, the campaign exceeded its target by enrolling more than 11 lakh workers and is now being expanded further to the booth level.

Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Chugh said the campaign draws inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India Mission and will “help carry the message of good governance to the grassroots.”

He attributed the achievement to the commitment and hard work of party karyakartas, organisational leadership and training teams working at every level.

Sharing details of the campaign’s performance across states, Chugh said Madhya Pradesh topped the list with 1,83,113 registered karyakartas. Tripura recorded an average of 20 participants per booth and achieved an 85 per cent course completion rate. Arunachal Pradesh and Chandigarh registered an average of more than five participants per booth.

He further said that Chhattisgarh recorded a 90 per cent completion rate, followed by Arunachal Pradesh with 89 per cent, Madhya Pradesh with 87 per cent, Tripura and Himachal Pradesh with 85 per cent each, while Nagaland and Ladakh both recorded 83 per cent completion, with all these states crossing the 80 per cent mark.

The Rajya Sabha MP expressed confidence that every booth will soon have at least 10 fully trained digital karyakartas — the party’s “greatest strength”.

“With the resolve that every karyakarta be trained and every booth digitally empowered, the campaign continues to scale new heights,” Chugh added.
