The Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) has held discussions with Logan City Mayor Jon Raven on strengthening multicultural engagement and building closer links between community groups and the local council.
FICQ’s executive committee met Mayor Raven to discuss opportunities to support Queensland’s multicultural communities and encourage greater participation in community activities across Logan.
The discussions also explored potential areas for collaboration between FICQ and existing local initiatives, with a focus on promoting community engagement and creating stronger connections among people from diverse backgrounds.
FICQ thanked Mayor Raven for his time and support for multicultural communities and said it looked forward to working with the council to develop further opportunities for community collaboration.
The meeting is part of FICQ’s ongoing engagement with local councils and community organisations across Queensland to strengthen multicultural participation and foster more connected communities.
