IT ALL began for Chelsea when she entered the world of Acting in the Sunshine Coast drama school BYTES, she got a taste of performance and could never let go.
Chelsea Ingram was not worried about swapping the small town country town of Glasshouse Mountains for the big lights of New York at only 20; if anything she embraced the adventure.
“I have loved acting every since I was a child, it began as essence of escape for me, but now its just a way of life” she said.
Chelsea graduated from the famous school Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute of NYC and has since performed across the NYC and Sydney off broad way stages.
She performed as a lead role in George Loros (The Sopranos) off broad way production of Rabbit Hole at the Marilyn Munroe Theatre Manhattan.
“I love film – but I think theatre is where my heart truly lies, the thrill of getting on stage in front of hundreds of people is exhilarating,” Chelsea said.
Immediately after graduation Chelsea starred in leading roles for feature film Tommy Battles the Silver Sea Dragon directed by Luke Shirock and in TV series The Loft by Yunus Sha – both set to preview in 2017.
Most recently Chelsea was awarded for Best Actress in the Western Sydney Film Festival for the short film Behold.
Chelsea also recently debuted in the Sydney Fringe festivals play Keep Calling, the entire show was sold out and was given the Sydney morning Heralds Critiques pick and received rave reviews across Australia.
“A wonderfully raw and real drama covering some very confronting and uneasy topics, presented by two great actors that give the characters an honesty and humanity,” Jade Kops.
Most excitingly Keep Calling shall travel to the off Broadway Stage of NYC with the theatre company Primitive Grace directed by Paul Calderon (Pulp Fiction).
Chelsea has just signed with production companies Tweed Dreams and ELO films both NYC independent film companies for numerous upcoming leading lady roles.
Chelsea has an undying love for the independent arts and is planning on shooting a short film in Brisbane Australia in late 2017.
