India’s High Commissioner to Australia Nagesh Singh met Professor Bill Shorten at the University of Canberra’s Bruce Campus to discuss opportunities to strengthen cooperation between India and Australia in education, research and institutional partnerships.
According to the High Commission of India in Canberra, the meeting focused on identifying avenues for expanding collaboration in the education and research sectors and developing stronger links between institutions in the two countries.
The discussions also covered the potential for greater institutional cooperation, reflecting the broader Australia–India engagement in higher education and research.
The meeting at the University of Canberra formed part of High Commissioner Nagesh Singh’s engagements with Australian institutions as the two countries continue to explore opportunities to expand educational and research ties.
The engagement highlighted the role of universities and academic institutions in supporting the wider Australia–India relationship through knowledge exchange, research collaboration and institutional partnerships.
