New Delhi, June 26 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin on Friday interacted with Mission Heads of European Union member countries and familiarised them with the party’s journey, ideology, organisational structure and governance model.

After meeting the diplomatic community, Nabin said on X, “Had an engaging interaction with the Mission Heads of 23 European Union member countries and the Ambassador of the EU Delegation to India under the #KnowBJP initiative.”

“Shared the BJP’s historic journey, organisational strength, and unwavering commitment to public service. We also discussed India’s transformative progress under Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodiJi in clean energy, digital infrastructure, AI, and semiconductors,” he said.

“With the India-EU FTA marking a new chapter in our partnership, we deliberated on future avenues of deeper collaboration between the EU and India,” he said.

Earlier, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks on the significance of mangoes in the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio show, Nabin sent mangoes to 82 Head of Missions in New Delhi with a personal note.

“With each of four varieties of mangos (Kesar, Dusseheri, Banaganapalli and Langda) carrying their unique flavour, taste and story of its region, this gesture reflects the timeless Indian ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — sharing not just a fruit, but India’s culture of sharing joy and sweetness,” said Vijay Chauthaiwale, In-Charge, Foreign Affairs Department, BJP, said in a post on X.

The mango note sent by Nabin to the diplomats described the legacy of the four varieties in great detail. Talking about Gir Kesar, the note said, “Cultivated in the foothills of Girnar, Gujarat, this medium-sized mango is famous for its vibrant, saffron-coloured pulp and intensely sweet. Highly Fragrant Juice. It’s 2011 GI tag protects this unique terroir-driven flavour profile, ensuring authentic Kesar mangoes are recognised by their distinct red blush and exceptional sweetness.”

On Malihabadi Dusseheri, Nabin’s note said, “Originating from Malihabad in Uttar Pradesh, this elongated mango boasts a remarkably thin skin, a fiberless texture, and a syrupy, honey-like taste that makes it perfect for softening and sucking right off the pit.”

Nabin’s note described Banaganapalle saying, “Hailing from Andhra Pradesh, this exceptionally large, obliquely oval mango features a blemish-free, golden-yellow skin and firm, meaty, fiberless flesh that holds its shape beautifully when sliced. Its 2017 GI tag celebrates its status as a premium South Indian delicacy. safeguarding its distinct size, unique texture, and prolonged shelf life.

On Banarasi Langda, Nabin’s note said, “Tracing its roots to Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, this unique variety stays stubbornly green on the outside even when it’s incredibly juicy. The lemon-yellow flesh is perfectly ripe. It delivers a complex, sweet-tart flavour and a potent, lingering aroma that is now protected by a 2023 GI tag, tying its unmistakable taste directly to the Banaras region.”
