Calling PM Modi a terrorist an insult to Indians, says Kishan Reddy

Hyderabad, April 21 (IANS) Central ministers from Telangana, G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, have condemned AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a ‘terrorist’, terming it an insult to 1.47 billion Indians.

They demanded an unconditional apology from the Congress chief.

Union minister for coal and mines, G. Kishan Reddy, said that calling the democratically elected Prime Minister a “terrorist” is not just irresponsible, it is deliberate, it is an insult to 1.47 billion Indians who have placed their faith in him.

“This kind of language demeans democratic choice and lowers political discourse. Not the first time that the Congress and its leaders are demeaning and insulting an elected and beloved PM of the Nation. Is this low-level, hatred-filled criticism of PM Modi directed from the highest echelons of the Congress and its leader, Rahul Gandhi?” asked Kishan Reddy.

The BJP leader said Mallikarjun Kharge must tender an unconditional apology to the people of India.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, stated that calling Prime Minister Modi a “terrorist” is not politics; it is the frustration of a defeated mindset.

“This kind of language insults every voter who repeatedly gave their mandate to Modi ji. Congress has lost its balance. This is not just a political attack; it is an attack on the soul of Indian democracy. This is the same Congress that wept for terrorists and questioned our Army’s bravery! For decades, you let terrorism bleed this country under the cover of appeasement. Today, because PM Modi ji ended that soft-on-terror era, you are frustrated. From the 2016 Indian surgical strikes to the 2019 Balakot airstrike to Operation Sindoor, Congress repeatedly echoed enemy narratives, demanded proof from our soldiers, and stood disconnected from national sentiment. BJP believes in the politics of service and mandate, not the politics of abuse and frustration. Congress should apologise immediately,” Bandi Sanjay posted on X.

Meanwhile, Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao has told Kharge that the Prime Minister is not his branch manager to be abused day in and day out. “He is a democratically elected Prime Minister serving his third term, and a four-time Chief Minister of Gujarat who has served continuously as head of government for 25 years. By calling him a terrorist, you have insulted every Indian. You have abused every Indian. And this is not the first time Congress has abused him; over the past 25 years, this has been going on. Congress called him ‘Hitler’. Congress called him ‘Maut ka Saudagar’. Congress raised slogans like ‘Modi, teri kabr khudegi’.”

“There is a reason Congress keeps abusing Modi. It is not to win the trust of voters in Bharat, but to win hearts across the border. Its priorities are very clear. Why do I say this with such conviction? Observe how Congress leaders have referred to Osama bin Laden as “Osama ji.” Observe how the Congress ecosystem has described Zakir Naik as an apostle of peace. This makes their priorities and interests abundantly clear. The truth is that the people of Bharat have had enough. They will not tolerate the repeated abuse of their leader. History shows that the more Modi is abused, the more the BJP rises,” the BJP leader added.
