Chandigarh, April 29 (IANS) The Aam Aadmi Party Punjab on Wednesday convened an observers’ meeting here involving nearly 1,000 party observers deployed across villages, wards, and constituencies.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia reviewed grassroots outreach, strengthened coordination, and sent a clear message that the Aam Aadmi Party’s real strength lies in its workers, governance record, and deep connection with the people.

Addressing the observers’ meeting virtually, Chief Minister Mann said that this interaction is a routine organisational exercise and recent media speculation around it is baseless.

He thanked all observers, calling them the backbone and roots of the party.

He said the Aam Aadmi Party has one of the strongest organisational structures in the country, where leaders remain constantly connected with people at the grassroots.

Highlighting governance decisions, he said that every decision taken by the Aam Aadmi Party government has been pro-people and not a single policy has gone against public interest.

He added that whatever service the government has been able to render is by the grace of the Almighty and the blessings of Guru Sahib.

He said the Jaagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Bill, 2026, reflects the government’s commitment to respecting the sentiments of the people.

Urging outreach among the public, Chief Minister Mann said that observers must actively communicate these achievements to the people.

He said they are a vital bridge between the government and the public.

He added that the defection of seven Members of Parliament does not affect the strength of the party.

He said that if a few drops are taken out of the ocean, it does not impact the ocean, and the party is much larger than any individual.

Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Sisodia said that the party has a strong grassroots structure.

He said observers have been appointed for every 15 villages or wards across Punjab.

He added that these observers regularly interact with residents and serve as a crucial link between the people, the party, and the government.

Explaining the review process, he said that meetings with observers are held every three to four months, and that day’s meeting reviewed the work done over the past four months.

He said that during the previous meeting in February, observers were assigned specific tasks, including outreach at the village and ward level and engagement with organisational members.

He added that they successfully conducted one-to-one meetings with nearly 2.5 lakh volunteers.

He said many observers spent one or even two days in villages to connect deeply with workers and understand local issues.

He added that the meeting also reviewed this exercise and discussed future strategy.
