The Consulate General of India in Sydney, in partnership with Yimiri, commemorated the International Day of Yoga 2025 (IDY 2025) with a community event at Nirimba Fields Public School, in line with this year’s global theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
The event was graced by Warren Kirby, Member of Parliament and President of the New South Wales–India Parliamentary Group, who underscored the importance of yoga in promoting physical, mental, and social wellbeing across communities.
Attendees, including students and staff, participated in guided yoga sessions aimed at fostering mindfulness and healthy living. The initiative highlighted the growing role of yoga in schools and community spaces, and reflected the shared commitment of the Indian Consulate and Yimiri to education, inclusion, and wellness.
Organisers appreciated the enthusiastic response and emphasised the event’s contribution to strengthening cross-cultural understanding through the universal practice of yoga.
