New Delhi, April 10 (IANS) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta met BJP National President Nitin Nabin on Friday for a discussion on the implementation of public welfare schemes and organisational matters, a party leader said.

Chief Minister Gupta shared information about the interaction on social media and said, “Today, I had the courtesy of paying a visit to the Honourable National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Shri @NitinNabinji.”

“During this cordial meeting, I received invaluable guidance from the Honourable President ji on the all-round development of Delhi, the implementation of public welfare schemes, and organisational matters,” she said.

The Chief Minister said, “The progress of Delhi and the well-being of every individual remain our utmost priority. To achieve this goal, we are working tirelessly with complete dedication and commitment.”

During the day, the Chief Minister also attended the launch of a series of programs until April 14 as part of celebrations to mark the 136th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar.

She and Delhi Minister for Social Welfare and SC/ST/OBC Welfare Ravinder Indraj Singh invited all citizens to participate in the programmes, stating that this year Baba Saheb’s birth anniversary will be celebrated in Delhi grandly and enthusiastically.

Ravinder Indraj Singh said a major highlight of the events will be the “Bhim Jyoti Utsav” to be organised near India Gate, in the Kasturba Gandhi Marg area, where rich literature related to Baba Saheb and important aspects of his life will be displayed through a special gallery.

He informed that visitors will have the opportunity to explore and understand various aspects of Baba Saheb’s life, thoughts, and struggles.

In addition, several folk-cultural programmes, performances, and diverse activities will be organised to take his ideas to the masses, he said.

Ravinder Indraj Singh said that the platform will reflect the spirit of national harmony. Saints, social workers, intellectuals, and individuals working towards unity and social cohesion from across the country will participate in the event.

He emphasised that Baba Saheb’s core message was “Nation First” and that he always prioritised national interest.
