Paramedics are assessing a patient after a crash on the Sunshine Mwy.
Traffic is at a crawl on the southbound motorway exit at Mountain Creek (near Mooloolaba) following the smash.
Ambulance officers are likely to use full spinal immobilisation measures as they bring the patient, who is suffering neck and chest pain, out of the vehicle.

Initial reports indicate at least one person is injured.
Emergency crews were called about 8.46am after the crash was reported at Mountain Creek.
The crash scene is just before an exit off the motorway to Mountain Creek, but a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman could not yet confirm which exit.
Traffic has not yet been significantly affected.
