A free family-friendly cricket and cultural celebration is set to take place at Fremantle Oval on March 2, bringing together sport, food, and multicultural entertainment in the heart of Fremantle during the Labour Day public holiday.
The event will feature a series of international cricket matches alongside a vibrant cultural showcase, highlighting cuisine and traditions from Italy, India, Britain, and Croatia. Organisers say the programme aims to create a welcoming space for families and community members to experience the spirit of friendly competition and cultural exchange.
Match proceedings will begin at midday with a British side taking on an Indian team in the opening pool fixture, followed by a contest between Italy and Croatia. The schedule will continue into the evening with a third-place playoff and a twilight sunset final under lights, before concluding with presentations.
In addition to the on-field action, attendees can enjoy a range of international food stalls offering culinary flavours from participating nations. Community organisers have encouraged families to attend the free public event, describing it as an opportunity to celebrate cricket, culture, and togetherness in a festive outdoor setting.
