Jaipur, April 23 (IANS) BJP State President, Madan Rathore, on Thursday claimed that the Ashok Gehlot-Sachin Pilot photo that was taken at the meeting of the OBC Advisory Council held at the Congress headquarters in New Delhi on Wednesday, appears to project unity but in fact underscores their continuing internal differences.

He claimed that the need to publicly showcase togetherness points to underlying discord.

Commenting further, Rathore expressed surprise at Ashok Gehlot’s statement that Rahul Gandhi has spoken about ST, SC, and OBC communities for the first time.

He said this raises questions about the attention given to these sections in the past.

On the refinery issue, Rathore urged the Opposition not to politicise the matter, stating that an investigation is underway and the facts will emerge once it is complete.

Rathore was speaking to the media on Thursday in the state party office.

He announced that BJP National President, Nitin Nabin, will visit Rajasthan on Monday, April 27. This will be his first visit to the state since assuming office as National President.

During the visit, Nitin Nabin will inaugurate seven new district BJP offices across Rajasthan and lay the foundation stone for the party’s Jalore office. As per the schedule, he will travel to Tonk to inaugurate the district office in person, while the inauguration of other district offices will be conducted virtually.

A preparatory meeting regarding the visit was held at the BJP State Headquarters. Rathore further informed that upon arrival in Jaipur, the National President will proceed directly to Tonk. After inaugurating the office, he will address party workers and the general public.

The programme will be broadcast live at BJP offices across the state. Following the event, he will return to Jaipur and proceed to the BJP State Headquarters. He added that party workers are enthusiastic about the visit and are preparing for a grand welcome.

The National President will be accorded a warm reception at multiple points along the route from Jaipur Airport to the State Headquarters.

At the headquarters, he will hold meetings with state office bearers, including conveners of various wings and cells. He will also chair a meeting of the BJP Core Committee and provide guidance on organisational expansion.
