In conjunction with the Indian High Commission Canberra, International Day of Yoga was organized by the Institute for Australia India Engagement (IAIE), India News and Fight4Balance to mark the 7th International Day of Yoga (IDY) at Weston Community Hub, Canberra (ACT) on 20th June 2021.
The Yoga routine was conducted by the instructor Ms Seema Latkher from the Art of Living.
“We are thankful to Dr Ram Mohan, Chairman and Publisher of India News, Mr Stephen Illidge, CEO of Fight4Balance and our board members Mr Muthuraj Guruswamy, Sports and Wellness Program Director Dr Amol Wagholikar, our friends and family members for making it a successful event. Above all our special thanks to the Government of India and the Indian High Commission for joining hands with us again in 2021 to commemorate the International Day of Yoga in Brisbane,” Mr Ashutosh Misra, CEO, IAIE, said on the occasion.
The Yoga session was well attended by more than 150 Yoga enthusiasts, local community and Indian diaspora in Australia. Session was conducted by Yoga experts from leading Yoga institution “Yoga Australia”. The event was live streamed on Social media handles to extend the outreach.
