High Commissioner stresses India–Australia trust at Indo-Pacific Forum

High Commissioner of India, Gopal Baglay, delivered the keynote address at the Australia–India Strategic Symposium 2025 in Melbourne, hosted by Wired Global Media and Advisory.

Speaking during the Strategic Flagship Panel — “Securing the Indo-Pacific in the Indian Ocean Century: Conundrums of the Region, Strategic Frictions, Shared Futures” — the High Commissioner outlined India’s perspective on strengthening regional security, fostering diplomatic trust, and enhancing collective resilience in the Indo-Pacific.

He underlined that in this “Indian Ocean Century,” the strength of India–Australia ties rests on strategic trust, shared democratic values, and sustained dialogue.

Baglay praised Wired Global Media and Advisory for creating a meaningful platform for public diplomacy, noting that its journey from inception during the global pandemic to hosting such a high-level strategic event reflects the power of a consistent, values-driven vision.
