A community programme celebrating Hindi and Indian culture was held in Brisbane, highlighting efforts to encourage the language among the younger generation in Australia.
The programme was organised by Om Positive Brisbane in association with the Consulate General of India, Brisbane, according to the Consulate General. It featured Hindi poetry, essay writing, poetry recitations and cultural performances, with enthusiastic participation from members of the community, particularly children.
Consul General of India in Brisbane Neetu M. Bhagotia congratulated the winners and presented certificates for their participation in essay writing and poetry recitations.
The celebration underlined the community’s efforts to nurture Hindi among children and promote awareness of Indian language and cultural traditions in Australia.
