New Delhi, April 29 (IANS) The Inderpuri Police of the West District have successfully cracked a high-value daylight robbery case involving Rs 70 lakh within a short span of time. Four accused persons have been arrested, and Rs 53.40 lakh in cash along with the motorcycle used in the crime has been recovered, officials said on Wednesday.

The incident occurred on March 31 at around 3:30 P.M. near Krishi Kunj in Inderpuri, where three assailants on a motorcycle robbed employees of a business establishment, who were carrying Rs 70 lakh in cash.

Following the complaint, a case was registered at Inderpuri Police Station under relevant Sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita on April 1, and an investigation was initiated.

During the enquiry, it was revealed that the robbery was orchestrated with insider involvement. One of the complainant’s employees, Vikash, allegedly leaked information about the movement of the cash and conspired with his associates Mohd. Kaif, Rishi Yadav, and Sourabh alias Bacha, to execute the crime.

A dedicated police team was formed under the supervision of senior officers, including SHO Kirti Yadav and ACP Inderaj Meena. The team conducted a detailed analysis of CCTV footage, gathered technical and manual Intelligence, and activated local informers to track down the accused, who had absconded after the robbery.

After sustained surveillance and multiple raids across Delhi and adjoining areas of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, all four accused were apprehended. During the operation, police recovered Rs 53.40 lakh of the robbed amount and the motorcycle used in committing the offence.

The arrested accused have been identified as Rishi Yadav (22), a student with prior involvement in a criminal case; Mohd. Kaif (25), engaged in dairy business, Sourabh alias Bacha (23), an auto driver with previous criminal records; and Vikash (22), employed in a private job and alleged to be the insider.

Further investigation is underway to recover the remaining amount and to ascertain whether more individuals were involved in the conspiracy.
