Nauru President David Adeang met India’s newly appointed High Commissioner to Nauru Nagesh Singh in Melbourne on August 22, with the two sides discussing ways to strengthen bilateral ties.
Singh was accompanied by India’s Consul General in Melbourne Anish Rajan. The Nauruan side was represented by Minister Rennier Gadabu, High Commissioner Camilla Solomon and RonPhos Chairman Newman Rykers.
The meeting reaffirmed the longstanding friendship and partnership between Nauru and India, while discussions focused on expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Mining, technology, health and education were among the key sectors discussed as the two countries explored opportunities to deepen their bilateral engagement.
