Jaipur, April 28 (IANS) The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce launched its Rajasthan Chapter on Tuesday in Jaipur, to strengthen Indo-United States trade and investment ties at the state level and create a platform for deeper business collaboration, policy dialogue, and global partnerships.

Addressing the launch ceremony, Bhasin, the National Past President of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, emphasised the need to accurately project India’s strengths on the global stage.

He urged that India be recognised as a robust democracy committed to the rule of law and economic growth, and not be unfavourably compared with other nations.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Bhasin urged that India’s global image be presented accurately. He requested Jonathan Heimer, Minister Counsellor for Commercial Affairs at the United States Embassy, to convey to the United States government that India is not a ‘hell hole’ and should not be compared with China.

He said that India is much better and is not a ‘hole’, but a ‘whole’ nation in every respect, adhering to democratic principles, upholding the rule of law, and progressing towards strong economic prosperity.

The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce formally launched its Rajasthan Chapter on Tuesday in Jaipur, marking a significant step towards strengthening Indo–United States economic engagement at the state level. The ceremony was attended by Diya Kumari, Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, as the Chief Guest, and Jonathan Heimer, Minister-Counsellor for Commercial Affairs at the United States Embassy, as the Guest of Honour, highlighting Rajasthan’s growing importance in bilateral trade relations.

In her address, Diya Kumari described the launch as a “moment of pride”, noting that the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce has long played a vital role in fostering trade, investment, and strategic partnerships between India and the United States.

She said that the Rajasthan Chapter is an important step in taking this collaboration to the state level, adding that Rajasthan is poised for accelerated growth backed by strong infrastructure and progressive policies.

She emphasised that the new chapter would serve as a platform to promote trade and investment linkages, sectoral collaboration, technology partnerships, and policy dialogue, while also supporting start-ups in accessing global markets.

Reaffirming the state government’s commitment, she highlighted efforts to build a transparent, investor-friendly ecosystem that drives innovation, job creation, and sustainable growth.

Addressing industry leaders and entrepreneurs, Jonathan Heimer underlined the importance of the India–United States partnership, stating that the relationships and investments being built today would yield long-term benefits for future generations.

He also acknowledged the role of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce in strengthening bilateral economic ties.

The Rajasthan Chapter aims to position the state as a global hub for trade, innovation, and investment by fostering collaboration among industry, government, and international stakeholders while advancing inclusive, innovation-led growth.
