Perth, March 6 (Australia India News Newsdesk)

The Consulate of India in Perth, in partnership with the Indian Society of Western Australia (ISWA), organised an Open House on Consular Services at the Indian Community Centre in Willetton, offering members of the Indian community an opportunity to engage directly with consular officials.

The outreach session aimed to inform the community about various consular services and provide a platform for addressing queries related to documentation and official procedures. Members of the Indian diaspora attended the event to seek guidance on issues concerning passports, visas, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cards, attestation services and other consular matters.

During the session, officials from the Consulate explained the different services provided by the mission and outlined the procedures for availing them. They also discussed the use of online systems and official channels that have been introduced to streamline applications and improve the efficiency of consular services.

The interactive programme allowed participants to raise specific concerns and questions related to consular processes. Consulate officials responded to these queries and offered practical guidance to help community members navigate various procedures.

Representatives of the Indian Society of Western Australia, which assisted in organising the event, said the initiative created an important opportunity for the community to interact directly with officials and gain clearer information about consular services.

The Consulate noted that engagement with the Indian diaspora remains a priority and that such community outreach programmes help strengthen communication between the mission and Indian nationals living in Western Australia.

Participants welcomed the initiative, saying the session helped them better understand the processes involved in accessing consular services. The organisers expressed hope that similar community interactions would continue in the future to support the needs of the growing Indian community in the state.
