The demand for the lifting of the ban on the bull sport of Jallikattu in Tamilnadu is rising by the day, and the protests are flaring among the Tamil communities around the world.
The Tamil community of Queensland also demonstrated its support for “We want Jallikattu” by holding a silent protest at Robelle Domain park in Springfield Central, Brisbane.
One of the protestors, Sathish Rajendran, put the feelings of majority of the Tamil community in words, “Our Tamil brothers and sisters all over the world will be proud of us. We thank Queensland Police Service and Ipswich City Council for their support on a very short time.”
“We are very close to winning this protest back in Jallikattu Tamilnadu,” Rajendran added.
Here are the photos from the event submitted by the community member Rajendran.
