J&K govt deputes 63 officers on short-term basis to SASB to facilitate Amarnath Yatra

Srinagar, June 16 (IANS) The Jammu and Kashmir government has deputed 63 officers on a short-term basis to the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB) for deployment as camp directors and additional camp directors at various camps en route the cave shrine.

A government order said that sanctions have been accorded to depute officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service to SASB on a short-term basis to help in the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.

The Amarnath Yatra 2026 will officially commence on July 3 and conclude on August 28, lasting for 57 days.

The deputed officers include Jagdish Singh Additional Deputy Commissioner Samba; VirenderKumar Manyal Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Developmen Authority, Patnitop; Chander Parkash Additional Secretary to the Government, Jal Shakti Department; Atul Kumar Additional Secretary to the Government, Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction; Vikas Dhar Bagati Additional Secretary to Government, Tourism Department; Vikas Anand Joint Registrar, Cooperatives (Audit), Jammu; Gurdev Kumar Joint Director, School Education, Jammu; Akhil Sadotra Project Officer, Wage Employment (ACD), Kathua; Vikas Sharma Deputy Secretary to the Government, Higher Education Department; Vishal Singh Parihar Revenue Attorney with Divisional Commissioner, Jammu; Manoj Kumar Project Officer, Wage Employment (ACD), Kishtwar; Om Parkash Project Officer, Employment Wage (ACD), Udhampur; Chander Kant Bhagat District Mineral Officer, Kishtwar, Addtional Charge of DMO, Doda; Sanjeev Kumar Block Development Officer, Chiralla, Doda; Kewal Krishan Sharma State Project Manager, Himayat Mission, J&K; Anil Kumar Assistant Director Estates, Jammu; Ranjeet Singh DPO, Samba; Pulkit Dutta Under Secretary to the Government, Home Department; Sahil Bhagotra CDPO, Ramban; Ram Paul BDO Pouni, Mohinder Paul CDPO, Nowshera and others.

The government order further said that the Controlling Officers shall relieve the above-mentioned officers, enabling them to report to the office of the Chief Executive Officer, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, on a date to be conveyed by the Board.

The exact deployment of the officers will be made by SASB; and these officers will continue to draw their salaries from their respective places of postings during the period of deputation and shall revert to their respective places of posting immediately after the conclusion of the Yatra-2026.
