Anand Patel, formerly Collector of Kutch-Bhuj, has been appointed Commissioner of Schools in Gandhinagar and will also hold additional responsibilities relating to PM-POSHAN and the Gujarat Council of Educational Research and Training.

Ajay Prakash has been moved from Gujarat Energy Development Agency to Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited as Managing Director, while Gaurang Makwana has been transferred from Bharuch Collectorate to the Climate Change Department with additional charge of state power sector entities, including Gujarat Power Corporation Limited and Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Limited.

At the district and municipal level, several officers have been interchanged between collectorates and civic bodies.

Transfers include postings involving Junagadh, Morbi, Navsari, Vapi, Mehsana, Surendranagar and Gandhidham, with multiple municipal commissioners shifted into district administration roles and vice versa.

In Gandhinagar, a significant administrative reshuffle has been carried out across departments, including industries, urban development, tribal development, civil supplies and energy.

Officers have also been assigned additional charges in institutions such as Gujarat Informatics Limited, Gujarat Livelihood Promotion Company Limited, Gujarat Urban Development authorities and Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban).

The notification further includes extensive reshuffling of district development officers and assistant collectors, many of whom have been posted as project administrators in Tribal Area Sub Plan regions or reassigned to urban local bodies, including the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, Vadodara Municipal Corporation and other civic agencies.

Officials said the 72-post reshuffle covers a wide spectrum of governance functions, spanning revenue administration, infrastructure development, urban management and welfare delivery, marking one of the most extensive administrative reallocations in the state in recent times.
