Police believe a truck has left a man in a serious condition after he was hit by the vehicle on the Bruce Highway.
The man was struck by a vehicle at Chevallum just before 10.40am, and has been rushed to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital for treatment.
He suffered chest and arm injuries, and is in a serious condition.
Police will remain on scene as crash investigators determine the cause for the crash.
The northbound left lane of the highway is currently closed, causing kilometres of delays.
EARLIER: A vehicle has hit a pedestrian on the Bruce Highway.
Paramedics, fire crews, and police were alerted to the incident at 10.40am, and are currently rushing to the scene at Chevallum.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said that the pedestrian had been hit on the northbound side of the Bruce Highway, near the Nambour Connection Road off ramp.
