A 19-year-old man is missing after jumping into a waterhole at Killarney Glen, in the Gold Coast hinterland.
Police say the man was swimming upstream at the popular site, located in Beechmont, around 11am when he failed to re-surface.Emergency crews are at the scene searching for the man.
Two men who jumped into the water to search for the man told 9NEWS low visibility had hindered their efforts.
The future of the jumping spot has been in the spotlight in recently following concerns about thrill-seeker safety and traffic management.
