A 48-year-old man is in a serious condition following a stabbing at a house on the Sunshine Coast.
Emergency Services were called to the Warran Rd property at Yaroomba, near Coolum, at about 9.50pm Wednesday.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the man had sustained “a fairly serious wound”.
He was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious condition as police searched the area.
A 20-year-old man was taken into custody after police intercepted a car that was allegedly stolen at around 1.20am from a residence on Amethyst Place. It was intercepted along David Low Way shortly after.
Police said the two men were known to each other.
A Yaroomba man has been charged with one count each of wounding, burglary and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.
