Perth, September 15 (Australia India News Newsdesk)

India’s Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education, Jayant Singh, visited North Metropolitan TAFE in Western Australia to explore opportunities for collaboration in skills and vocational education.

During the visit, the Minister held constructive discussions with Jodie Wallace, Director General of the Department of Training and Workforce Development; Jobs and Skills WA, and Michelle Hoad, Managing Director of North Metropolitan TAFE.

The program also included a guided tour of the campus, where the Minister observed training in mechanical, fabrication, and advanced manufacturing workshops. Live demonstrations in rail signalling, electrical systems, and communications technologies highlighted Western Australia’s strong industry-linked training infrastructure and applied learning models.

The visit reaffirmed the shared interest of India and Australia in strengthening vocational education partnerships to prepare a future-ready workforce.
