Bhopal, July 8 (IANS) Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals worth more than Rs 76,862 crore in the first six months of 2026, with the projects expected to generate employment for around 82,000 youths, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said on Wednesday.

The chief minister said the investment proposals received between January 1 and June 30 reflected growing confidence among domestic and foreign investors in Madhya Pradesh.

He said Narmadapuram alone attracted proposals worth Rs 11,500 crore, while foreign investment commitments exceeded Rs 10,000 crore during the period.

Yadav said in the last six months, Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals worth over Rs 76,862 crore, and these projects will create employment for around 82,000 youths.

He added that this is a fitting reply to those who questioned the outcome of the Global Investors Summit and the state’s investment outreach.

Referring to the Global Investors Summit held in Bhopal last year, Yadav said the state had received investment proposals worth around Rs 30 lakh crore and that projects worth more than Rs 10 lakh crore have already entered the implementation stage.

He said the investment proposals received during the summit are now taking shape on the ground, and the government is committed to converting investment commitments into industries and employment opportunities.

Highlighting recent industrial developments, the chief minister said the state has recently launched or laid the foundation for several major projects, including a Rs 2,500-crore defence unit in Shivpuri, a Rs 1,250-crore manufacturing plant in Ujjain, a Rs 150-crore smart industrial park in Satgarhi, and 38 new industrial units in Neemuch.

Yadav said the last ten days have witnessed a series of major investments in Madhya Pradesh, and the government is focused on implementing projects on the ground to accelerate industrial growth and create jobs.
