New Delhi, June 6 (IANS) Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), functioning under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, is set to organise the ‘Youth for Viksit Bharat – MY Bharat Youth Convention’ on Saturday at Thyagaraj Stadium in New Delhi, bringing together thousands of young participants from across the country in a major celebration of youth leadership and nation-building.

Scheduled to be held around noon, the convention is being organised in accordance with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of positioning the country’s youth as a key driving force in achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat @2047, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports said.

The event is expected to witness the participation of more than 6,000 young people from different parts of India. The attendees will represent a wide spectrum of backgrounds, including students, young professionals, entrepreneurs, innovators, content creators, emerging leaders, achievers and young women, reflecting the diversity and aspirations of India’s youth.

Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, along with several other leaders, distinguished guests and youth icons from various sectors, will be present at the convention.

The gathering aims to create a platform where the achievers of today can interact with the architects of tomorrow’s India, encouraging a shared commitment towards public leadership, national development and social transformation.

According to the Ministry, the convention will feature interactions with several prominent personalities from different fields.

Among those expected to engage with participants are India’s fastest man Gurindervir Singh, the current national record holder in the 100 metres, Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey, entrepreneur Aman Gupta, Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of boAt, Olympic medallist Aman Sehrawat, successful UPSC achievers and leading content creators, including Malhar Kalambe and RJ Raunac, along with other influential youth voices whose work and social initiatives have inspired millions.

The event will also honour emerging talents from across the country who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in fields such as sports, entrepreneurship, governance and content creation. Organisers believe the recognition will further encourage young Indians to contribute actively to society and nation-building.

The Ministry further stated that the convention will also celebrate MY Bharat’s recent achievement of securing a Guinness World Records recognition for the ‘Most Users to Take an Online Quiz in One Week’, accomplished through the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) Quiz initiative.

The nationwide programme witnessed participation from more than 50 lakh young people across all 28 states and eight Union Territories. During the official assessment period, 390,812 participants successfully completed the quiz, resulting in the creation of a new world record.

According to the Ministry, the achievement highlights the unprecedented scale of youth engagement with the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 and reflects the growing confidence of young citizens in MY Bharat as a platform that enables meaningful participation of Yuva Shakti in the nation’s development journey.

“As India progresses towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, the MY Bharat Youth Convention will serve as a celebration of the aspirations, achievements and transformative potential of the country’s youth,” a government statement said.

The statement added that by bringing together thousands of youngsters from every corner of the country, the convention will reaffirm the collective determination of the ‘Amrit Peedhi’ to contribute to nation-building and further emphasise the pivotal role of youth in realising the Prime Minister’s vision of a developed, inclusive and self-reliant India.
