New weekly express trains announced for Andhra, Telangana

Hyderabad, April 16 (IANS) The Union Ministry of Railways has approved the introduction of new trains in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana — Charlapalli-Narasapur-Charlapalli Weekly Express and Narsapur-Tirupati-Narsapur Weekly Express.

According to the South Central Railway (SCR), the ministry approved the introduction of Train No.17061/17062 Charlapalli – Narasapur – Charlapalli Weekly Express, duly regularising services of Train No. 07061/07062 Charlapalli – Narasapur – Charlapalli Special Train Services.

Train No. 17061 Charlapalli-Narsapur Express will run every Saturday, while Train No. 17062 Narsapur-Charlapalli Express will be operated on Sundays.

The first service from Charlapalli will commence on May 2. It will depart at 7.50 p.m. and reach Narsapur at 7 a.m. the next day. The train will halt at Nalgonda, Guntur, Vijayawada, Gudivada, Kaikalur, Akividu, Bhimavaram Town, Viravasaram and Palakollu.

In the return direction, the train will depart from Narsapur at 8 p.m. and reach Charlapalli at 7.50 a.m. the next day.

These trains will consist of 2A, 3A, Sleeper and General Second Class Coaches, the SCR said in a release.

The Ministry of Railways has also approved the introduction of Train No. 17428/17427 Narsapur – Tirupati – Narsapur Weekly Express, duly regularising Train No. 07131/07132 Narsapur – Tirupati – Narsapur special train service.

Train No. 17428 Narsapur-Tirupati will be operated every Monday, while Train No. 17427 Tirupati-Narsapur Weekly Express will run every Sunday.

The weekly train will commence operations on April 27 with the departure from Narsapur at 3.50 p.m. and reach Tirupati at 3.40 a.m. the next day. The train will halt at Pakalollu, Bhimavaram Junction, Bhimavaram Town, Akividu, Kaikalur, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Tenali, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore and Renigunta.

Tirupati-Narsapur Weekly Express will depart Tirupati on May 3 at 10.10 p.m. It will reach Narsapur at 9.30 a.m. the next day.

Meanwhile, the Railway Board has approved the extension of Train No. 20916/20915 Indore-Lingampalli-Indore Humsafar Express to Charlapalli. This will come into effect from April 25.

Indore-Charlapalli train will depart Indore on Saturdays at 11.15 a.m. and reach Charlapalli at 2.15 p.m. the next day. Charlapalli-Indore depart from Charlapalli on Sunday at 8.45 p.m. and reach Indore at 12.15 a.m. Tuesday.

The Railway Board has also approved to increase the frequency of Train No. 12775/12776 Kakinada Town – Lingampalli – Kakinada Town Express from Tri-Weekly to daily service.

This will come into effect from April 21. The train has been provided with an additional stoppage at Samalkot Railway Station.
