The Consulate General of India in Perth, in partnership with the Indian Society of Western Australia (ISWA) and its affiliated associations, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 on June 21, highlighting this year’s global theme: “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
The event brought together a diverse gathering of yoga enthusiasts and community members, reflecting the inclusive spirit of the day. The celebration was further elevated by the presence of distinguished guests, including Dr Parwinder Kaur MLC, Mayor Patrick Hall, Councillor Shen Sekhon, and Councillor Keyur Kamdar, who joined in support of the growing wellness movement.
Participants engaged in guided yoga sessions aimed at promoting holistic health, inner peace, and global harmony. The celebration emphasised yoga’s relevance as a timeless practice for physical and mental well-being, transcending age, culture, and background.
The Consulate and ISWA expressed their appreciation to the local community for their active involvement and reaffirmed their commitment to promoting wellness and cultural understanding through such collaborative events.
