PM Modi extends birthday wishes to Bhupender Yadav, lauds his efforts in environment conservation

New Delhi, June 30 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended his birthday wishes to Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav, praising his efforts towards environmental conservation and climate action.

He said that Yadav has been working tirelessly to combat the menace of climate change while promoting sustainability across the country.

PM Modi took to social media ‘X’ and said, “Best wishes to Union Minister Shri Bhupender Yadav Ji on his birthday. He is undertaking significant efforts towards boosting sustainability, conserving flora and fauna. He is also tirelessly working to eliminate the menace of climate change. My best wishes for his long and healthy life.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also greeted Yadav on his birthday, saying, “Heartfelt birthday wishes to Union Minister Shri Bhupender Yadav. Under the leadership of Modi ji, you are doing remarkable work in the fields of environmental and climate conservation. I pray to the Almighty for your good health and a long life.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also extended his greetings, stating, “Heartfelt birthday greetings to a senior member of the BJP family, a dedicated politician, and the Hon’ble Union Minister, Shri Bhupender Yadav Ji. I pray to Shri Salasar Balaji Maharaj to bless you with excellent health and a long, illustrious life.”

Bhupender Yadav is the Lok Sabha MP from Alwar in Rajasthan. Born in Ajmer on June 30, 1969, he currently serves as the Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

An advocate by profession, Yadav was appointed General Secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad in 2000 and held the position until 2009. In 2010, he became the National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and in 2014, he was elevated to the post of the party’s National General Secretary.

Recognised as a key organisational leader, Yadav has handled the BJP’s election responsibilities in several major Assembly elections, including Maharashtra (2024), Madhya Pradesh (2023), Manipur (2022), Bihar (2020), Jharkhand (2014), and Rajasthan (2013). He also served as the party’s election in-charge for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Bhupender Yadav is the author of the books ‘The Rise of the BJP’ and ‘Supreme Court on Forest Conservation’. He regularly expresses his views on issues of critical importance in various newspapers and on news websites.
