Jaipur, June 24 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Pachpadra in Rajasthan’s Balotra district on July 4. During the proposed visit, he will dedicate the Pachpadra Refinery to the nation and lay the foundation stone for Jaipur Metro Phase-II.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several development projects across the state. In addition, appointment letters will be distributed to youth selected for various government services.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma reviewed preparations for the proposed visit during a meeting held at his residence on Tuesday and issued necessary directions to officials.

Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said that receiving an appointment letter for government service is a proud and memorable moment in the life of every young person.

He directed officials to organise special programmes in all districts so that the youth receiving appointment letters, along with members of the public, can virtually connect with the Prime Minister’s main event and participate in the occasion.

He emphasised ensuring the active participation of youth, public representatives and citizens through programmes organised from the Gram Panchayat level to the district level, making the event a celebration of development, employment and public participation.

The Chief Minister said that the Pachpadra Refinery is a landmark project for Rajasthan’s industrial development, investment promotion and employment generation.

He directed officials to ensure that all preparations related to the inauguration ceremony are completed within the stipulated timeframe.

He further instructed that security arrangements at the refinery complex be strengthened, with a robust surveillance system put in place.

All event-related arrangements should be flawless, leaving no scope for shortcomings.

Directing the refinery management to undertake an extensive plantation drive within the refinery complex on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that environmental conservation should be an integral part of the event.

He stressed the need to spread awareness about fuel conservation and energy efficiency through programmes organised across the state.

Noting that the Prime Minister has always accorded special importance to labourers and workers, the Chief Minister directed that refinery workers should be meaningfully involved in the event.

He also issued instructions regarding essential arrangements at the venue, including visitor seating, drinking water facilities, parking management, security and traffic regulation.

Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma, and senior officials from HRRL and various departments were present at the meeting.

Officials from HPCL, along with Divisional Commissioners, Inspectors General of Police and District Collectors from various districts, participated through video conferencing.
