In line with the Premier’s announcement today, Queensland will reopen its borders from 1:00am on Monday, 13 December 2021 as Queensland moves towards 80 per cent vaccination milestone earlier than expected. All arrivals, regardless of vaccination status, must get another COVID-19 test on day 5 after they arrive in Queensland.
If you have been in a declared hotspot in the past 14 days you may travel to Queensland provided you:
You may arrive by air or road.
There is no quarantine required if you meet these criteria.
If you do not meet this criteria, you will need to meet the relevant requirements for entry and will be required to undertake a period of quarantine in a Government-nominated facility.
Provided you have not been in a hotspot in the last 14 days:
If you are arriving on a direct international flight you may travel to Queensland provided you:
These arrivals will be uncapped.
If you do not meet this criteria, you will need to enter within Queensland’s international air arrivals cap and undertake a period of quarantine in a government-nominated facility.
Arrangements will continue to be quarantine-free.
If you have been overseas in the past 14 days, you may enter Queensland provided you:
If you do not meet this criteria, you will need to meet the relevant requirements for entry to Queensland and will be required to undertake a period of home quarantine.
Fully vaccinated border zone residents with a border pass will be able to move freely across the border, no test required. Border zone residents who are not fully vaccinated will only be able to cross the border for limited reasons, as is the case now.
