Jaipur, May 28 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajasthan State President Madan Rathore on Thursday strongly condemned the remarks made by RLP MP Hanuman Beniwal, stating that the language used by some politicians has reached an unacceptable level.

Rathore alleged that certain leaders are resorting to vulgar and indecent language merely to remain in the headlines and boost TRPs, which he said poses a serious threat to democratic traditions and political decorum.

“The use of abusive language in politics is extremely unfortunate and shameful. Political opposition is natural, but maintaining dignity and civility in public discourse is equally essential,” Rathore said.

He added that public representatives should be mindful of the offices they hold and the language they use.

The BJP leader further said that politics today requires “purification”, warning that such rhetoric could erode public trust in political institutions and representatives.

He also urged the media to discourage and ideologically oppose leaders who resort to abusive language, saying that only then can political discourse be restored to healthier standards.

Former BJP State President Ashok Parnami said it is the responsibility of every public representative to maintain linguistic decorum and uphold the dignity of public life.

He described the alleged remarks against Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma as condemnable and contrary to democratic values.

Chairman of the Rajasthan State Finance Commission and former BJP State President Dr Arun Chaturvedi said Indian politics has traditionally been marked by civil dialogue and ideological debate, but some leaders are crossing all limits of decency for political gain.

He termed the alleged language used against the Chief Minister as unfortunate and harmful to democratic culture.

Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham also criticised Hanuman Beniwal’s remarks, saying the language used against the Chief Minister and Cabinet was inappropriate and unbecoming of a Member of Parliament.

He stressed the need for elected representatives to uphold the dignity of their office.

BJP State Vice President Mukesh Dadhich said disagreement and protest are integral to democracy, but personal attacks and indecent comments weaken healthy democratic traditions and lower political standards.

BJP State General Secretary Shravan Singh Bagdi said ideological differences are natural in a democracy, but uncivil language in the name of political opposition cannot be justified.

Another BJP State General Secretary, Bhupendra Saini, said the public expects politics focused on development, governance, and public welfare rather than controversy-driven rhetoric aimed at attracting attention.

BJP General Secretary Mithilesh Gautam also condemned the remarks, describing them as contrary to democratic values and Indian political culture.
