Jaipur, June 24 (IANS) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Wednesday chaired a high-level review meeting at the Chief Minister’s Residence to assess the progress of the Pachpadra Refinery-cum-Petrochemical Complex and directed officials to ensure all preparations are completed on time for its proposed inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister sought a detailed update from senior officials and the management of HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL) regarding the refinery’s operational status, ongoing activities and future roadmap.

Sharma said the Pachpadra Refinery would soon be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and stressed the need to make the occasion historic through meticulous planning and coordinated efforts. “The Pachpadra Refinery will emerge as a strong pillar of the country’s energy security and serve as a major growth engine for Rajasthan’s economic development,” the Chief Minister said.

The HRRL management presented samples of various products currently being produced at the refinery. A scale model of the refinery complex and a booklet documenting the project’s journey and achievements were also showcased before the Chief Minister.

During the review, HRRL officials informed the Chief Minister that more than half a dozen units of the refinery are now operational and production of several petroleum and petrochemical products has already commenced. The management appreciated the Chief Minister’s continuous monitoring and support, stating that close coordination between HRRL and the Rajasthan government had helped accelerate the project’s progress.

According to HRRL officials, the refinery has rapidly moved towards operational readiness due to the state government’s proactive approach and regular guidance from the Chief Minister.

Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Akhil Arora, Additional Chief Secretary (Mines and Petroleum) Aparna Arora, Principal Secretary (Finance) Vaibhav Galriya, senior HRRL officials and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
