New Delhi, May 23 (IANS) As Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday distributed appointment letters to newly recruited candidates under the 19th edition of the Rozgar Mela, newly-appointed youths across several states spoke to IANS and expressed happiness over securing government jobs and thanked the Centre for ensuring a transparent recruitment process.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi handed over more than 51,000 appointment letters to candidates selected for various government departments and organisations.

Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said that the world today is enthusiastic about India’s youth power and the country’s rapid technological advancement.

Following the distribution of appointment letters, several recruits from different parts of the country shared their excitement and spoke about their struggles, aspirations and achievements.

A newly recruited youth from Bihar’s Gaya, who received his appointment letter under the Rozgar Mela initiative, said, “I have been selected in the Railway RPSF, and I received my appointment letter today at the job fair. I am feeling very happy to receive this appointment letter from MP Jitan Ram Manjhi. I thank PM Modi for distributing the letters to us today.”

Another recruit from Bihar, identified as Vikas Kumar, said he had been selected for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP).

Expressing gratitude, he said, “I am from Bihar. My name is Vikas Kumar. I have been selected for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot. PM Narendra Modi is encouraging us to work for the betterment of society and our families.”

In Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur as well, several newly-appointed candidates celebrated receiving their appointment letters and described the occasion as a major milestone in their lives.

One of the recruits said, “I have received my appointment letter, and I am very happy. This is a joyful moment for me, and my parents have also struggled a lot for this success. I also worked very hard.”

Another youth selected in the Indian Railways said the opportunity would significantly help his family financially.

“I got recruited in the Indian Railways. I am very happy that I got the appointment letters; this will benefit my family a lot. I thank the Prime Minister for this,” he said.

A candidate who fulfilled his childhood ambition through the recruitment drive said, “I had a dream since childhood that I would become a loco pilot, and today my dream has finally come true.”

In Jharkhand too, newly-appointed candidates expressed satisfaction over the employment opportunities generated by the government and appreciated the transparency in the recruitment process.

One recruit selected for the Railway Department as an Assistant Loco Pilot said, “I have been selected for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot. I worked very hard for this opportunity, and the government has supported me in getting this job.”

Another candidate selected in the Railways Group C said, “I am selected in Group C in Railways. I am very happy, and so is my family. We will benefit a lot from this job.”

A newly-appointed railway guard also thanked the government after receiving his appointment letter.

“I have been selected for a Group C post as a Guard. I am very happy about this, and I sincerely thank the Government of India and the Railways,” he said.

The Rozgar Mela initiative has been launched by the Centre as part of its effort to provide employment opportunities to youth across the country through recruitment drives in multiple government departments and public sector organisations.
