A TAXI driver has been robbed by two men at knifepoint in his driveway at Ingle Farm.
The taxi driver, Rajpal Singh Sidhu, was finishing work when he was approached in his driveway by two men, who threatened him with a knife just after 5am.
Mr Sidhu said the men stole a bag containing his earnings, mobile phone, coin purse and house keys before running off.
“They asked me for money and took it … almost $200,” he said.
“I was very scared, I was just finishing my shift.”
Mr Sidhu received a small cut to his left hand during the robbery.
He did not know if he was being targeted but hoped police would find the perpetrators soon.
Both were described as of caucasian appearance, aged in their early 20s, about 183cm tall, wearing hoodies and tracksuit pants.
Police searched the area with the assistance of police dog Ben.
Using the Find My iPhone app, the stolen phone was found discarded on a nature strip off Bridge Rd, near Dulkara Rd, a short time later.
The bag containing his money and keys has still not been found and police ask anyone who finds it to contact police.
Neighbour Sai Karutura said he did not hear anything in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Anyone who saw the suspects or has information about the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
