Haridwar, June 28 (IANS) Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday lauded the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme, the monthly radio broadcast by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for bringing the spotlight on unrecognised talents and unexplored heroes whose accomplishments often go unnoticed.

The Chief Minister heard the 135th edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ at a programme in Roorkee, accompanied by various dignitaries, and said that PM Modi discussed many vital issues, including the World Yoga Asana Championship held in Gujarat on the International Yoga Day, underlining how such talents with distinction in Yoga asanas went unnoticed earlier but no longer now.

“‘Mann Ki Baat’ is not just a medium of dialogue, but a powerful platform that gives national recognition to the positive efforts happening across the country,” the Uttarakhand Chief Minister said.

He also added that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the nation’s youth are receiving proper guidance and new opportunities.

“This was the 135th edition of the program. PM Modi is the first leader in the world to have addressed 135 editions, and he will continue to address more in the future,” he said.

Chief Minister Dhami also added, “PM Modi has inspired people through the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program. Today, many individuals are engaged in Yoga and the dignity of labour. There are talents who previously went unnoticed, but PM Modi brought them to the forefront. He encouraged and boosted their morale, showcasing them to the entire world. Undoubtedly, these individuals have gained significant recognition.”

The Chief Minister, participating in the ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Shakti Samvad’ (Chief Minister’s Youth Power Dialogue) programme on Sunday, also interacted with the youth.

He noted that Roorkee is fast emerging as a major hub for science, technology, and innovation.

Chief Minister Dhami emphasised that the role of youth has always been pivotal in shaping the country’s destiny.

“India is the youngest nation in the world. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, continuous steps are being taken to provide employment to the youth, promote startups, and give new recognition to their creativity,” he remarked.
