Gorakhpur, May 5 (IANS) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister met over 200 people on Tuesday, listening to their problems and grievances while also assuring them that their complaints would soon be looked into and acted upon.

The Chief Minister’s assurance came at the Janata Darshan organised at Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur this morning.

“Do not worry, the government will ensure effective resolution of every problem,” the Chief Minister told the visitors and also instructed officials to show sensitivity towards public grievances and ensure transparent disposal.

As the people gathered at the Janata Darshan, a regular occasion where the public seeks solutions directly from the Chief Minister, the latter heard them out, collected their application letters and gave necessary directions to the officials standing nearby for resolving the issues.

He referred some applications to the concerned administrative and police officials and directed that all issues must be resolved in a time-bound and impartial manner.

On complaints related to land encroachment, the Chief Minister told the administrative and police officials that if any influential person is forcibly occupying someone’s land, strict legal action must be taken against them.

Some people also came seeking financial assistance for medical treatment, to which the Chief Minister assured them of speedy resolution.

CM Yogi directed officials to promptly prepare estimates for advanced medical treatment of all needy individuals. As soon as the estimate is received, the government will immediately provide the required funds.

The Chief Minister also showered affection on the children by distributing chocolates.

Earlier in the morning, the Chief Minister offered prayers to Guru Gorakhnath, considered an incarnation of Lord Shiva, at the temple and paid respects at the samadhi sthal of his guru, the late Mahant Avaidyanath.

He also performed ‘Gau sewa’ at the temple premises by visiting the cowshed, showing affection to the cows and also feeding them jaggery — a routine he follows when staying at the Gorakhnath temple.
