New Delhi, June 3 (IANS) Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Described as a courtesy meeting, the interaction served as a platform for Maurya to congratulate the Prime Minister on the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) electoral successes and discuss the ongoing developmental progress of the country.

Following the meeting, Maurya took to his official handle on social media platform X to share details of the interaction, praising PM Modi’s national and global leadership.

“Today, in New Delhi, I had the privilege of a courtesy meeting with our illustrious Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji,” Maurya wrote in his post.

He lauded the Prime Minister’s efforts towards economic and social transformation, stating that PM Modi is actively advancing the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ while simultaneously spreading Lord Buddha’s message of peace and harmony across the world.

A key highlight of the meeting was the celebration of the party’s recent electoral successes in eastern India.

Maurya extended his congratulations to the Prime Minister for the BJP’s “historic and unprecedented victory” in West Bengal and Assam, stating that the results reflect growing public trust in the party’s governance model.

Reflecting on the Central government’s performance, the Uttar Pradesh leader said the country is continuously setting new benchmarks in development, good governance and public welfare under PM Modi’s leadership.

He said that the Prime Minister’s presence and guidance continue to serve as a source of inspiration for party leaders and workers.

“Your presence has always inspired us to advance works in public interest and national interest with even greater dedication and commitment. This is the true capital of our strength,” Maurya added in his social media post.

Concluding his message, the Deputy Chief Minister expressed gratitude to PM Modi for taking time out of his schedule to offer guidance and insights for the future administration of Uttar Pradesh.
