The “Power of Us” suicide prevention training, supported by Wesley Mission, is leading the way

Brisbane, June 14 (Australia India News Newsdesk)

Mental health matters — and now, a group of passionate young leaders are stepping up to make a difference. The Vedanta Centre, in collaboration with Wesley Mission, has launched a youth-led network called “Power Of Us” Suicide Prevention Training. This initiative is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of mental health and equipping the community with the tools to support wellbeing and prevent suicide.

As part of their mission, the team is hosting a free workshop open to all members of the community. This session will provide valuable information, practical strategies, and insights into how one can take care of one’s mental health — and support others in doing the same. The workshop is open to everyone, especially young people and families. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend.

Workshops like these can be life-changing. Whether one is looking to better understand mental health challenges, help a friend in need, or simply take steps towards one’s own wellbeing, this is an opportunity  not to be missed.
